According to the QS rankings, it is the second year in a row that Sumy State University is ranked fourth among Ukrainian universities and is included to the Top-90 universities in the EECA region (Emerging Europe and Central Asia).

Senior lecturer of the Department of Germanic Philology Svitlana Yermolenko together with leading scientists and young researches from Ukraine, Poland, Austria and Germany took part in the 22th International scientific and practical conference of the Association of Ukrainian Germanists.

On October 15 SSU held the round-table meeting within ‘Social Lifting for the Youth’ project. The aim of the meeting was to provide assistance for active young people in the implementation of their abilities, to advise on the creation and promotion of public, social or business projects and ideas. Invited experts and public figures shared their experience during this meeting.

Master student of the Faculty of Economics and Management of SSU Viktoriia Ferents won a bronze medal on the Ukrainian Race Walking Championships and on the 19^th International Race Walking Competitions on the ‘Vechirnii Ivano-Frankivsk’ Cup. She walked a distance of 10 kilometers for 48.23 minutes. The competitions were held on the 17^th-18^th of October in Ivano-Frankivsk.
