The informational event dedicated to the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence World Campaign was held by SSU. It took place in the front of the university’s main academic building on November 25, 2015. The volunteers were handing around equality postcards containing the contact information for those who suffered from violence. Students’ creativity and flesh mob turned attention to the campaign.

SSU scientists took part in the V International Conference on e–Health and Bioengineering, which was held in the framework of Biomedical Engineering Tempus Initiative in Eastern Neighboring Area (BME–ENA) of EU Tempus programme. The event took place on November 19^th–20^th and was hosted by Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Romania).

Professor of the Department of Germanic Philology Svitlana Shvachko helps Sumy State University to get to the world's leading position once again. According to the National Research Analytics Championships in Philological Sciences 2015 among the world scientists, SSU professor won new prestigious awards.

Free Hugs campaign traditionally took place in the front of the main academic building of SSU. Its aim was to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in a large multinational family of the university. More than 150 students, teachers and staff participated in it. Dedicated to the tolerant treatment of the representatives of different cultures this event takes place every year at SSU on the initiative of volunteers and the Department of Social Work.
