Continuing Education

The Center of Postgraduate Education of Sumy State University (Faculty of Specialists' Retraining in 2009) was formed in 1994 to improve the level of education and professional training of specialists by strengthening, expanding, and updating their professional knowledge and skills; to give them an opportunity to get another profession or specialty based on the previously gained educational qualification and practical experience. 

The main focus of the Center of Postgraduate Education is the retraining of specialists with higher education and senior students of the higher education institutions of III or IV level of accreditation for obtaining the second diploma with full-time, part-time, and distance learning forms of education.

Center of Postgraduate Education also conducts retraining for servicemen to be discharged or those who already discharged from military service. A social partnership in a joint project of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the OSCE "Assistance in Social Adaptation of Retired Military Personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine" is provided at Sumy State University. Training courses are fully funded by the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine and last three months according to the 500-hour curriculum major "Financial Activity and Accounting at the Enterprises of Different Forms of Ownership."
