Sumy State University Library (SumDU Library) is a modern high-tech information system, that includes: the Central Library, 4 Institutional Libraries, 4 College Libraries, 36 Libraries of University Departments, 9 Libraries at SumDU Distance Learning Centers.
SumDU Libraries have more than 3 million documents from various fields of knowledge. There are publications in 24 foreign languages, which comprise more than 5% of the Library fund.
Approximately 30 thousand printed and electronic documents are added to the collection annually. The readers can get books from more than 50 public and academic libraries on the Inter-library Loan (ILL).
Comfortable reading rooms provide open access to printed and electronic collections. There are spaces for individual and group work, Wi-Fi access, computers, copying, and printing facilities at SumDU Libraries.
SumDU Libraries provide over 100 journal and magazine subscriptions, as well as access to domestic and international databases and antiplagiarism systems yearly.
Remote access via Electronic Catalog is available. There are more than 600 bibliographic descriptions and 80 thousand electronic documents.
The Library administrates the Electronic Sumy State University Institutional Repository (eSSUIR) that accumulates, systematizes, and provides open access to the intellectual products of the University community. Now the Repository includes more than 80 thousand documents.
