Sumy State University purchased the sanatorium complex "Univer" in July 2013 to prolong the work of children establishment for the summer period, to conduct winter sports competitions and training assemblies of the Department of Military Training of SumDU and other Ukrainian universities. The purpose of the sanatorium complex "Univer" establishment is health improvement, full relaxation, sport, art, and intellectual activity.

The material and technical basis of SumDU sanatorium complex "Univer" consists of three cottages, administration building, boiling house, dining hall, summer dance floor, summer shower cubicles, computer lab, sports facilities, the field for indoor soccer and basketball, area for beach volleyball, wrestling hall, table tennis, training and dancing halls, tourist area, encampment, pergola for relaxation and studies and equipped beach.
