On December 8, 2015 the discussion called ‘The development of partnership between Ukraine and NATO: the role of civil society’ was held at SSU. The event took place at the Forum Ukraine – NATO with the support of the NATO Information and Documentation Centre in Ukraine. It was organized with the help of the NATO-Ukraine Civic League and the NATO Information and Documentation Centre at SSU.

The manual for students of higher educational medical institutions called ‘Pathophysiology. Part 2’ is one of the first electronic medical educational publications in Ukraine. It’s written by the Head of the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology of SSU Professor Oleksandr Ataman. This online-edition was possible due to the collaboration of the author with Nova Knyha Publishing House and Google Books international service.

On the World AIDS Day (December 1, 2015) SSU volunteers organized a flash mob called ‘Life for Life’ in front of the main academic building of the university. Students were standing in a symbolic ribbon-formed line, holding a red symbol of solidarity with people living with HIV and AIDS, their loved ones, family and friends. The Student Social Service and volunteers distributed information and explanatory materials within the ‘Youth against AIDS’ campaign.

The All-Ukrainian concluding conference on the results of the three-year project on implementation of Family friendly university gender initiative took place in Kyiv, on November 27, 2015. During the conference the representatives of more than 20 partner universities from different regions of Ukraine shared their experience. Despite the completion of the project, the Ukrainian universities keep on developing the gender-sensitive initiative.
