SSU held the meeting with young experts from Germany, Poland and Ukraine within the International German-Polish-Ukrainian project called ‘Europe in a Suitcase’ on October 9, 2015. The meeting was held in the form of a dialogue. SSU students and the experts discussed Ukrainian stereotypes concerning Europe, the peculiar features of the Ukrainian and European mentality, the role of the youth in state building.

SSU students asked the young experts about studying abroad, scholarship programs in European universities, tips on writing successful cover letters and so on. Also the geopolitical processes and the prospects of European integration for Ukraine were discussed passionately. The thematic debates and quiz on the European Union were of particular interest for our students.

‘Europe in a Suitcase’ project aimed at reviving the debate on Europe in cities and towns of Ukraine. Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Armenia took part in this project. The Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the Institute for Euro-Atlantic Cooperation, the European Academy Berlin and Robert Schuman Foundation organized this project.

The project assistant of the European Academy Berlin Oksana Cheban (Germany), the member of the AEGEE-Europe European Students’ Forum Serhii Khaltser (Germany), the street educator and a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics Ahnieshka Novakovska (Poland), the student of Warsaw University, activist and journalist Bartosh Teslavski (Poland), the project manager of Ukrainian network of Greencubator Energy Innovations Kseniia Choni, the graduate of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Roman Rybakov (Master Degree in History) were among the young experts.
