Representatives of Kazakh universities noted the high quality of SSU medical education

SSU Medical Institute delegation headed by Vladyslav Smiianov (the Head of the Medical Institute of SSU) participated in the coordination meeting of the ePBLnet project (Tempus III) and took part in the 3^rd Central Asian Medical Education Conference in Kazakhstan on the 2^nd-7^th of October, 2015.

During a meeting with representatives of the Karaganda State Medical University and Astana Medical University participants discussed IT-support of the education process, possibilities of remote medical education and academic mobility issues.Kazakh partners showed a great interest in the system of open access to educational materials (OCW) and noted the high quality of SSU education (three students of the Karaganda State Medical University had an internship in SSU Medical Institute due to the academic mobility programme in 2014).

In addition, the SSU teachers visited the clinic of Karaganda Medical University. Also they were invited to the largest simulation center in Kazakhstan, where simulators of different medical specialties could be found.
