SumDU has been a partner of the International REHAB grant project “Innovative Rehabilitation Education - Introduction of new master degree programs in Ukraine” of EU Erasmus+ program since 2018.

The main goal of the project is development and implementation of the new master study programs in direction “Physical rehabilitation and Physiotherapy” based on the European HEIs experience. At the end of May 2019 representatives of the project workgroup – the Head of the International Affairs Department Kostyantyn Kyrychenko and Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Rehabilitation and Sport Medicine Olha Sytnyk - took part in the work meeting within the project that took place on the base of Josef Pilsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw, Poland and gathered the representatives of HEIs project partners from Poland, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia and Ukraine.

The meeting was dedicated to the issues of the project administrative support and discussion of further thematic steps of its implementation. Thus, Ukrainian project partners received a preliminary assessment of the Physical Rehabilitation study programs, discussed EU approaches to their improvement, development of the study programs’ e-content for the 1st year masters, conducting week-long workshops on Physical Rehabilitation in partner countries etc.

Moreover, the meetings with the University direction, Departments’ Heads and representatives, doctors, physical therapists, students took place during the visit, where the delegates got acquainted with resource base and reached the agreement of further bilateral cooperation.
