The team of the Faculty of Economics and Management headed by professor Leonid Melnyk (Doctor of Economics) received a funding for two-year grant project called "Designing of institutional and economic bases of assurance of sustainable development and green economy at the regional level" for 2016-2017 years.

The project is implemented within the Agreement between the government of Ukraine and the government of the Republic of Lithuania on cooperation in the sphere of science, education and culture with Kaunas University of Technology.

The total funding for SSU will make more than 180 thousand UAH. The main scientific results of the project should include the joint development of the concept of integrated economy management transitioning to sustainable development and the formation of appropriate institutional mechanisms, economic methods and tools of institutional support of sustainable development at the regional level.

As a result the comprehensive concept of forming green economy based on the institutional foundations of socio-economic systems development and feedback mechanisms with the maximum use of reproduction potential and self-improvement of its structural components will be worked out.

The Ukrainian party is developing the methodology and tools of institutional and economic evaluation of sustainable development. The Lithuanian scientists are working on the financial aspects of sustainable development areas’ implementation.
