The 5th Summit of SSU Glory at the European Championship

On Wednesday, July 29, Anatoliy Vasylyev the Rector of the University, President Emeritus of FC "SumDU" met with the team of SSU at the conference hall of Sumy State University. There was a lot more to it than success - the futsal club is going to Poznan to participate in the European Universities Championships that took place on the 31^st of July – the 10^th of August.

The administereds of Serhii Piesotskyi will participate in these competitions for the 5^th time. At the present moment silver awards of the continental championship in Montenegro (2009) are the highest achievements of students. Moreover, are footballers come closer to medals twice (Slovenia-2007 and Finland-2011).

Anatoliy Vasylyev wished success to the team and mentioned that SSU team currently upholds the honour not only of the University but also of the whole Ukraine.

In his turn, the Head coach of FC "SumDU" Serhii Piesotskyi thanked the University for its support in this difficult time and promised that the team will always fight for the victory till the end. He added that he understands in what time we live and how each person tries to survive. The coach also was grateful to the administration for the chance to compete, as it is a new challenge for the team. As it is the 5^th European Championship for the team, they have already got an experience in the game, as well as in the process of competitions. There are 10 days of hard work ahead, but the team has already spent the whole month training to participate and to win.

The new captain of FC "SumDU" Yevhen Petrakov experienced the previous European competitions. The student told that they have already visited four European Championships and are conscious of the approximate level of contestants. As SSU team focused on the most difficult moments this year, they hope that the result of this competitions will be positive.
