SSU Teachers received a Cup of the International Badminton Tournament

Sumy State University teachers won the International Badminton Tournament “Black Sea Cup 2015” among veterans und amateurs, which took place in Odesa in August. Nearly 90 athletes from the different cities of Ukraine participated in the event.

The senior teacher of the department of Foreign Languages Oksana Hladchenko and the senior teacher of the department of Physical Training and Sports Antonina Siryk represented SSU. In the singles “WS45 +” Oksana Hladchenko took 2nd place, and Antonina Siryk rose to the highest step of the pedestal. In the doubles “WD45 +” SSU representatives took first place. In the mixed doubles, the sportswomen won two bronze medals: in the category “XD50 +” won Oksana Hladchenko, and in the category “XD45 +” won Antonina Siryk. A pleasant surprise for athletes was 3rd place in the team standings and winning the bronze at the “Black Sea Cup – 2015.”
