The two-year grant project “Enhancing of Energy Security by Swiss-Ukrainian-Estonian Institutional Partnership” will be implemented by a consortium, which includes the Institute for Economy and the Environment of the University St.Gallen (Switzerland), the faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Tartu (Estonia), and the faculty of Economics and Management of SSU.

The participation in grant project was initiated by the department of Management and the department of Economics Theory (FEM).

The financing will be provided by the Swiss National Science Foundation in the frameworks of the programme of scientific co-operation between Eastern Europe and Switzerland (SCOPES) in the context of institutional cooperation. The total amount of funding for SSU – 75,000 Swiss Franc (over 1.5 million USD).

In the frameworks of the grant the “Laboratory of Ideas” will be created at the faculty. The laboratory will be supplied with the modern equipment for formation and implementation of faculty and interfaculty projects. Moreover, a chain of seminars, colloquiums and forums on problem-based learning, quality education, and other is also planned. The project also provides training according to so-called “green” curriculum. In the near future a research competition for SSU students will be held. The winners of the competition will visit Estonia.
