The workshop venue involving the representatives of the consortium of the international grand project “Quality Assurance System in Ukraine: Development on the Base of ENQA Standards and Guidelines” (QUAERE), implemented within Erasmus +, took place at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv March 21st-23rd , 2018. The representatives of Sumy State University took part in a joint meeting.
The European coordinator of the QUAERE (Wrocław University of Science and Technology) Prof. Mariusz Mazurkiewicz was a keynoter of the workshop venue`s first day.
The presentation and the discussion of the model of the internal quality assurance system of the university, viz. procedures, stakeholders, regulatory structure within ESG 2015, was emphasized on a workshop venue.
The representatives of Sumy State University – Olga Liuta, the Head of the Bureau of Education Quality Assurance and Quality Assurance in Higher Education, and Konstyantyn Kyrychenko, the Head of the International Affairs Office of SSU – have presented their formulations concerning the management structure of the external quality assurance system, the main functions of the relative Center, and, also, the results on a progress of the project.
The main activities for the present moment are a pilot accreditation of the educational programmes of SSU by the European expert panels and a survey of students and employers on the effectiveness of the university's internal quality assurance system.
The workshop venue was accompanied by the constructive and fruitful discussion on the project developments with the representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Erasmus + Office. The Deputy Minister for Education and Science of Ukraine Yuriy Rashkevych and the Director General of the Higher Education and Adult Education Directorate Oleg Sharov marked the significant progress in the implementation of this European project, an important role of SSU. Also, they emphasized that the consortium development package should be used by a wide range of the Ukrainian universities, as well as by the National Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education.
SSU partnership in the QUAERE promotes the development of its own quality assurance system, modernization of educational programmes and services for our students according to the European standards.
