Iryna Vaskina says:

This is my first experience of participating in the KA1 academic mobility program from Erasmus + and I am very glad that the quarantine restrictions did not hinder the implementation of this project. As part of the program, lectures and seminars were planned for students of the Department of Geodesy and Environmental Engineering, and we were able to successfully implement this. I thank the head of the department, Professor Krzysztof Jóźwiakowski, and his entire team for their hospitable reception. We have been cooperating for more than a year in the format of scientific cooperation, we have joint projects and publications. The academic mobility program helped us to deepen cooperation in the field of education and science and to identify ways to develop it. Thanks to the project, I gained invaluable teaching experience to foreign students and the opportunity to disseminate the results of my own research and the research of my colleagues in the field of wastewater treatment technologies.

The purpose of the visit was to provide lectures and seminars for students of bachelor's and master's levels on the general topic "Wastewater treatment technologies". According to the grant agreement, Ms. Vaskina conducted classes (total of 10 hours) for Polish students on the following topics:

1.Sustainable goals and water development processes – 2 hours

2.The influence of anthropogenic pollution on the water quality. Challenges for Ukraine - 2 hours

3.Implementation of the basin principle of water resources management. Ukrainian experience - 2 hours

4.Magnetic water treatment. New approaches - 2 hours

5.Chemical industry wastes in wastewater treatment technologies - 2 hours

I really satisfied the results of my mobility. The academic mobility program helped to deepen cooperation with UPL in the field of education and science and to identify ways to develop it. Thanks to the project, I gained invaluable teaching experience to foreign students and the opportunity to disseminate the results of my own research and the research of my colleagues in the field of wastewater treatment technologies.

We are working on the joint article with Ms. Patrycja Pochwatka (Department of Environmental Engineering and Geodesy) and discuss the posibility of joint research activities in a frame of future joint projects on wastewater treatment with prof. Krzysztof Jozwiakiwski. I was invited to participate in a Conference in October 2021 and as a member of Scientific Commetee to the 3rd International Conference of Ecological and Environmental Engineering (Poznań 2022).

It led to increased cooperation with the partner institution and internationalisation of SSU. We involved into interdepartment cooperation on development on the bachelor and masters' study programmes including foreign experience Inter-departmental research in the field of improving the efficiency of water treatment. Enhance the incoming and outgoing mobility in both institutions internationalization of the curricular and study programmes.
