Short description of the project: The project “The EU Carbon-free economy: best practices for Ukraine” (CFEU) aims at understanding and disseminating the EU movements in developing the Carbon-free economy in order to mitigate the consequences of climate change while boosting energy efficiency and reducing the carbon footprint.

Considering the EU Cohesion Policy Greener and Carbon-free Europe is one of the objectives which will drive EU investments in 2021-2027. At the same time, the EU has already a powerful achievement in the sustainable and green economy. In this case, it is necessary to extend best EU practices among emerging economies such as Ukraine. Besides, the EU integration process requires the synchronizing of the EU and Ukrainian policy in all spheres, including the green policy.

Within CFEU Module different educational interactive activities and teaching methods such as lectures, workshops, science festivals, study visits, successful storytelling, brainstorming, games, virtual reality, etc. will be performed. Such activities and methods would give an opportunity to develop innovative and critical thinking, transversal, collaboration, and communication skills among the students. For CFEU Module the professionals will be involved as the key speakers at science festivals. The participation of entrepreneurs provides the opportunity to enhance inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

The principal outputs are:

  • sharing knowledge and increasing awareness about the EU principles and directions in the world spread of the Carbon-free economy among students through the education and dissemination of Jean Module results (science festivals, new courses (including online), publications, etc.);
  • creating the platform for enhancing the green knowledge among students, academics, NGOs, and business sector according to the EU experience;
  • open access to knowledge and promotion of Lifelong Learning through development.
