The EU project “Modernizing higher engineering education in Georgia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan to meet the technology challenge” of Tempus Programme

 

Sumy State University is involved into the implementation of the EU project “Modernizing higher engineering education in Georgia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan to meet the technology challenge” of Tempus Programme under coordination of the Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden) and in cooperation with other leading European universities and Partner Universities of Ukraine, Georgia and Uzbekistan. Within this project SSU modernizes MSc and PhD engineering programmes complying with European standards.

Duration of the project: 3 years (15 October 2012 – 14 October 2015).

Aim of the project is dissemination of knowledge about engineering education and creating conditions for obtaining such knowledge by Master and PhD students – future engineering specialists meeting demand of modern engineering knowledge at the enterprise.

Project results:

• modernization of MSc and PhD engineering programmes by introduction of new interdisciplinary modules;
• setting a new model for academia-industry dialogue for providing higher engineering education with modern technological challenges.
