The functional responsibilities of the International Academic Cooperation Unit are:
- promotion of the increase of international academic mobility of university students to the European level;
- organization of implementation and dissemination at the institutes, faculties and departments of the results achieved in the implementation of international educational projects: modern educational technologies, new methods and best foreign practices, etc.; using the opportunities of such projects to establish academic mobility of students and teachers;
- organizational measures to develop the capacity of departments to understand and use the technologies of international academic mobility and projects that contribute to the improvement of educational activities;
- initiating, consulting and assisting institutes, faculties, departments in preparation of relevant proposals for foreign partners, including applications for grant projects on educational topics;
- coordination of work of faculties, institutes and departments on the support of programmes of international academic mobility;
- management of work on organizational and methodological support of the implementation of international academic mobility programmes;
- contacting partners on practical aspects of implementing international academic mobility programmes;
- organization of curriculum development for the contingent of students studying in academic mobility programmes;
- introduction of technologies for recognition and transfer of academic results obtained by students studying in academic mobility programmes;
- current control over the state of implementation of international academic mobility programmes, analysis of the activity of participation of students/staff in the educational process in the international academic mobility programmes.
